Hello, my name is Craig Pauls, and I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic at Family Health Quest. I am originally from Richland Center, Wisconsin, a town of just over 5,000 about two hours Northwest of Freeport. Along with my parents and one brother, I lived on a 45-acre beef cattle hobby farm, but both of my parents worked other jobs as well. Starting in 1999, I attended UW-Richland for two years, receiving an Associate’s Degree. I then received my Bachelor’s Degree from UW-La Crosse with a Biomedical major and Chemistry minor. The next three years of my life were spent in Davenport, Iowa at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I earned my Doctorate. At Palmer, I was involved with several clubs including the Gonstead Club (one of the techniques that I use), and I was the president of the Christian Chiropractic Fellowship on campus my final year there. Throughout school, I worked full-time on top of my class load and extracurricular activities in order to pay my own way. This has twice been put into extra perspective for me while on mission trips providing chiropractic care at free clinics. It was very humbling to see some of the poverty-stricken areas that we witnessed in India and Honduras. These were amazing opportunities to experience other cultures and further my chiropractic skills. It was so powerful to see chiropractic affect people so deeply. Throughout our time abroad, the local people would line up around the block for a chance to have us adjust them. Of course, I would be remiss if I did not mention my amazing wife since 2007, Kiley. We met when she was attending St. Ambrose University in Davenport, where she received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Having a spouse whom is also in the healthcare field has taught me a lot. She is a great resource for me and gives me a different way of looking at things. She has also given me three great kids (2 boys and a girl)! Kiley grew up in Lanark, so she is an Illinois girl through and through. Her family owns a dairy farm near Shannon, and her mom, Sharon, was the long-time secretary for the athletic department at Highland College. I pledge to you that I will work hard to earn your trust and confidence in taking care of you and your family’s chiropractic healthcare needs. If you have any questions for me throughout this process, please feel free to contact me at any time. It is very important to me that I be here at all times for my patients. I am really looking forward to my time getting to know and serve you.
Greetings! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Olivia Pehl from local small town, Shannon, Illinois. My parents raised me and my two sisters in Freeport before we moved to Shannon in 2003. I have two older sisters whom I cherish spending time with, along with my energetic nieces and nephews. Another very important person in my life is my wonderful husband, Anthony Pehl. We first met when we both were a young sixteen years old. We enjoyed our winter wedding in December, 2016. My family was and still is my major support system and source of encouragement. I graduated from Eastland High School in 2010 and then attended Highland Community College for two years where I received my associate of science degree. In the summer of 2012, I moved to Davenport, Iowa to begin my chiropractic journey at Palmer College of Chiropractic. I graduated with honors in June 2016 with my Doctorate in Chiropractic and also with my Bachelor's degree. My time spent at Palmer was a great experience. Being in an atmosphere with so many other students, professors, and doctors all passionate and excited about chiropractic was such an inspiration. Taking the time to really explore and learn from my staff doctors in clinic was very valuable, which I applied to my personalized patient care. The feeling of joy that comes with seeing patients respond and reach their health goals with chiropractic care is something I thrived on, and continue to seek every day. I am very blessed to have had the amazing opportunity to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. I look forward to relaying my knowledge and clinical skills to my patients, with an open mind, open heart, and open hands. When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family. You may also see me taking walks around town with my two dogs. Anthony and I love to sightsee and take in all the scenery and countryside that comes with living in northern Illinois. Just simply being with my loved ones and friends makes me quite content and joyful! I am very excited and eager to provide you and your family with wholesome and compassionate chiropractic care. It is my personal oath to you that I will give fully of myself and dedicate my time and abilities to your healthcare needs and concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have; I am pleased to help in any way that I can. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach all your healthcare goals!
Nicole DuvallLicensed, Certified Massage Therapist
Hi, my name is Nicole Duvall. I grew up in the Freeport area on a farm. I am the youngest of three kids, growing up with two older brothers. I am a huge family person, without my family I wouldn’t be who I am today. I have been blessed with an amazing family that is very supportive. Along with the wonderful support of my family I have had many friends who have been very supportive and encouraging of my career as well. I attended Dakota High School and was involved in multiple activities such as band, chorus, musicals, drama club, varsity club, and student council. I was also involved in athletics such as basketball, volleyball, and softball. I graduated from Dakota High School in 2008. From there I took a year and a half off of school to work and earn money for college. In the fall of 2009 I attended Capri College in Dubuque, IA. In May of 2015, I married my best friend, Derek. We are enjoying the process of starting our lives together! In June of 2010 I graduated top of my class and passed my national exam to become a certified massage therapist. That is what brings me here. I have always had a passion for wanting to help people. For that reason I took on the role of being a massage therapist. It is my goal, to the best of my ability, to help you achieve a healthy well being through therapeutic massage. If you are looking for something more along the lines of just relaxation, I can perform a relaxation massage session as well. So whatever your needs, I hope to assist you. I look forward to meeting you and working with you. Hope to see you soon.
Emily HiltonLicensed, Certified Massage Therapist
Hi, my name is Emily Hilton. I am a licensed and board certified massage therapist. I grew up in the Pecatonica area on a dairy farm. I have been involved in 4-H and FFA for as long as I can remember. I graduated Pecatonica High School in 2002. I went on to earn my Associate Degree in animal science from Kishwaukee College in 2004, and continued to finish my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Platteville, in animal science in 2004. In 2011, I graduated from Rockford Career College with my Massage Therapy Certification. I became certified in manual lymphatic drainage April of 2015. I am currently perusing my certification in equine (horses) massage from Highland Community College. I have a passion for helping people feel and move better. I am able to do that through massage therapy. My specialties are firm pressure, deep tissue, and manual lymphatic drainage. I work on Thursdays and every other Saturday. I’m looking forward to helping you feel better! See you soon.
Hi, my name is Evonne Larson, and I am a Certified Reflexologist. I currently live in Pecatonica with my husband, Ron. We have four sons and ten grandchildren. They really keep us on our toes! (No pun intended.) I received my training in Rockford, Illinois through the Healthy Soles School of Reflexology. My instructor, Susan Watson is director and founder, and she’s the reason I became interested in reflexology in the first place. A friend of mine told me how much she enjoyed her session with Sue, so I set up an appointment as well. I have never felt anything as wonderful in my feet as what I did when she was finished. I quickly realized what this could also do for my overall wellness. As Sue worked with me she talked about her school and the upcoming class that was to start in the fall of 2008. The more she talked of everything that Reflexology could do, the more interesting it became to me, so I signed up for the class. Certification in Reflexology requires 200 classroom hours and 100 hours of documented work with clients. This all took over a year to complete, and in November of 2009, I received my Reflexology Certificate. Since receiving my certification, I have been working at establishing my business. Many clients say they have an overall feeling of wellbeing after experiencing sessions of Reflexology. Reflexology also helps to balance and restore your body, to relax, and to alleviate stress. The fact that I can help people feel better and be healthier through Reflexology is very rewarding. I look forward to getting to know you and hopefully I’ll get the chance to help you improve your health through Reflexology.

Jennifer NiemetChiropractic Assistant
Hello! My name is Jennifer Niemet and I am the “new girl on the block” here at Family Health Quest. Some of you are beginning to recognize my face and everyone has been extremely patient with me as I begin to recognize all of you! I was raised in Freeport, but after graduating from college I moved to Crystal Lake, IL where I resided for 28 years. I worked part-time as a Medical Assistant and most importantly as a full-time Mom of four amazing children. I have a son who is married and lives in Naperville, IL where he works as a Civil Engineer. I also have three daughters; the oldest of them is married and lives in Marion, IL where she works as a Paralegal. She is also giving me my first grandchildren around November, as she is expecting triplets! The youngest two are both in college; one at the University of Illinois in Chicago studying Communications/Public Relations, and the other is at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL studying Radiology. I moved back to Freeport about two years ago. The move has been a bit challenging as Freeport has really changed since I lived here last! However, I am enjoying the change as I am able to spend much more time with my parents, and one of my brothers and his family. Since my husband and I are “empty-nesters” we spend most of our time with our fur- babies. We have a Boxer-Pitbull mix named Cooper and a Golden Retriever puppy named Jake. In my free time I enjoy photography, spending time with my family and friends, and am planning on training our puppy to be a therapy dog. I look forward to continuing my journey with Family Health Quest and very much look forward to getting to know you all!
